Age Scotland

Age Scotland is the largest charity in Scotland dedicated to enabling everyone to make the most of later life.

Older people are the fastest growing group in society and there are more of us than ever before.

Ageing is not an illness, but it can be challenging at times, and Age Scotland provides vital services and support at a national and local level to inspire, enable and support older people when they need it.

They ensure that older people’s ideas for a better Scotland reach the ears of those who need to hear them, and also protect the long-term interests of future generations.

Home Energy Scotland

Home Energy Scotland is a free, impartial advice service funded by the Scottish Government to help people to make their homes cheaper to heat. We offer a friendly helpline, 0808 808 2282, and a home visit service for anyone who has difficulty using the telephone or needs face-to-face advice.

We work in partnership with Citizens Advice Scotland, Age Scotland, Deaf Action, NHS and local organisations that are in direct contact with householders who are vulnerable to fuel poverty, providing briefings to frontline staff and volunteers, and inviting them to refer householders to us for advice. Home Energy Scotland can provide as many referral cards as you require.
For many older people, those in poor health or on low incomes, the advice they receive from Home Energy Scotland can be life changing.

Anyone in Scotland who is worried about their energy bills, or interested in becoming more energy efficient, can contact Home Energy Scotland. Freephone 0808 808 2282, or text ‘Warm’ to 81025 to receive a call back.
